IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING TRADE CANIFY.
PLEASE READ THIS DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE TRADE CANIFY PLATFORM. THIS DISCLAIMER FORMS PART OF OUR TERMS OF SERVICE AND IS BINDING ON ALL USERS.
1. Technology Provider Statement
Trade Canify is exclusively a software technology provider. We develop and operate tools that enable Users to design, test, and automatically execute their own trading strategies on supported cryptocurrency exchanges.
Trade Canify is NOT:
- A registered broker, dealer, or sub-broker
- A SEBI-registered investment advisor, portfolio manager, or research analyst
- A Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) — we do not hold, transfer, exchange, or custody any Virtual Digital Assets on your behalf
- A financial advisor, investment manager, or signal provider of any kind
All trading decisions — including strategy design, risk parameters, position sizing, leverage selection, and activation — are made exclusively by you, the User. Trade Canify merely executes the instructions you define.
2. No Financial or Investment Advice
Nothing on the Trade Canify Platform, website, documentation, emails, or any associated communication constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Pre-built strategy templates provided on the Platform are illustrative examples only — they are not recommendations, endorsements, or suggestions that you trade using those parameters.
You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making any trading or investment decisions. Past backtest performance shown on the Platform is not indicative of future results.
3. Cryptocurrency Market Risks
3.1 Extreme Volatility
Cryptocurrency markets are highly speculative and experience extreme price volatility. The value of cryptocurrencies can increase or decrease by significant percentages within minutes. You may lose a substantial portion or all of your invested capital in a very short period of time.
3.2 Market Hours and Liquidity
Cryptocurrency markets operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. While this enables continuous automated trading, it also means your strategies may execute at any hour, including times of low liquidity, high spreads, or extreme market movements. Trade Canify does not guarantee execution quality during periods of low liquidity.
3.3 Regulatory Risk
The regulatory environment for cryptocurrency trading globally is evolving. Changes in law, taxation policy, or regulatory action could adversely affect the value of your holdings, your ability to trade, or the operation of the Platform itself.
4. Futures Trading and Leverage Risks
Trade Canify supports cryptocurrency futures trading on connected exchanges. Futures trading involves significantly greater risk than spot trading.
4.1 Leverage Risk
Futures trading typically involves leverage — the ability to control a position larger than your deposited margin. While leverage can amplify gains, it equally amplifies losses. A relatively small adverse price movement can result in losses exceeding your initial margin deposit. You should only trade futures with capital you can afford to lose entirely.
4.2 Liquidation Risk
If the market moves against your leveraged position and your margin falls below the exchange's maintenance margin requirement, your position will be automatically liquidated by the exchange. Liquidation results in the loss of all margin deposited for that position. Trade Canify's automated stop-loss feature is designed to reduce this risk, but it does not eliminate it. Under extreme market conditions (flash crashes, exchange outages, insufficient liquidity), stop-loss orders may not execute at the specified price, and liquidation may still occur.
4.3 Funding Rate Risk
Perpetual futures contracts charge a funding rate — a periodic payment between long and short position holders — typically every 8 hours. Your automated strategy may hold positions overnight or across multiple funding intervals, accumulating funding costs that can significantly erode profitability over time, particularly in strategies not designed to account for this cost.
4.4 Margin Call Risk
Exchange margin requirements can change without advance notice. Sudden requirement changes may force the closure of your positions at unfavourable prices.
5. Automated Trading Specific Risks
5.1 Execution Risk
While Trade Canify strives for reliable and timely order execution, we do not guarantee that every order will be executed at the exact intended price or time. Factors including but not limited to network latency, exchange API delays, order book depth, and market volatility can result in slippage — execution at a price different from the strategy's trigger price.
5.2 System and Technical Risk
The Platform depends on multiple systems functioning correctly simultaneously: Trade Canify's servers, AWS cloud infrastructure, your internet connection, and the exchange's API. Failure of any component can result in missed order entries, missed exits, duplicate orders, or complete strategy interruption. Trade Canify is not liable for losses arising from any such technical failure.
5.3 Strategy Logic Risk
The accuracy and profitability of an automated strategy depend entirely on the logic defined by the User. A strategy with flawed logic, incorrect indicator parameters, or poorly configured risk rules may execute continuously and incorrectly, generating losses at a rate faster than equivalent manual trading. Users are responsible for thoroughly backtesting and validating strategies before activating them in live markets.
5.4 Backtesting Limitations
Backtest results shown on the Platform are based on historical price data and do not account for: live market slippage; brokerage and exchange fees; periods of low liquidity; market regime changes; or the impact of your own strategy's order flow on price. Backtested results are for informational purposes only and must not be treated as a guarantee of future performance.
5.5 Exchange API Risk
Trade Canify relies on the connected exchange's API to place and cancel orders. Exchange APIs can experience downtime, rate limiting, authentication errors, or changes to their interface without notice. During any exchange API disruption, your strategies may be unable to execute entries or exits, potentially leaving positions open in adverse market conditions. Trade Canify implements error detection and strategy pausing in such scenarios, but cannot guarantee immediate or complete protection.
6. Tax Obligations
You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all tax obligations arising from your cryptocurrency trading activities in your jurisdiction. Trade Canify does not calculate, deduct, or file taxes on your behalf.
7. No Guarantee of Profit or Performance
Trade Canify makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that use of the Platform will result in profitable trading outcomes. No strategy — automated or manual — generates consistent profits in all market conditions. You acknowledge that automated trading does not eliminate the inherent risks of financial markets, and that losses from automated trading can occur rapidly and exceed the losses that might arise from equivalent manual trading if a strategy executes incorrectly or continuously during adverse conditions.
8. User Responsibility
By activating a Live Strategy on the Trade Canify Platform, you accept full and sole responsibility for:
- The design, parameters, and logic of your trading strategy
- The selection of leverage, position sizing, and risk management settings
- All trading losses, including losses resulting from automated strategy execution
- Your compliance with all applicable tax obligations
- Your compliance with the terms of service of your Exchange Account provider
